Wilderotter Cabernet — for the inner control freak.
My feet are firmly planted on solid ground. I am in control of all things around me. That is until I taste the Wilderotter Cabernet Sauvignon. From the moment I smell the violet, smoky toasty nose, I'm confident that this must be a famously known Cabernet. The mouth of the wine grabs me with such spicy vanilla and wrestles my tongue. I love how this wine takes charge and then just lets you enjoy that amazing cut of beef and rich blue cheese. The finish leaves you lingering in a field of dark berries savoring the long finish like a child indulging on every last piece of fruit from the berry bush on their way home from school. You are sure that this wine is from a famous wine house from a famous wine valley but then you are momentarily grounded and realize that right there in front of you is Wilderotter Cabernet Sauvignon. It makes you dizzy, you can't believe that you'd loose such control and then you just go with it. So go for it!Wine Stories by Tracey Berkner, Taste Restaurant www.restauranttaste.com
