Short on the finish
This classic Viognier starts and ends with grace and the middle is full of delightful complexity, fresh pears, and bright acidity. The floral aromas will take you to a tropical white sand beach. As you dig your feet into the warm sand, the Cabana boy or girl (whatever works for you) brings you a chilled glass of Wilderotter Viognier.
The first aroma is honeysuckle. Then the spice draws you to take your first sip and you are transported to the French countryside overlooking the rolling vineyards. The wine, still in your mouth, is showing the complexity of the finest French wines. A light pear essence it’s full and refreshing as the acidity breaks through the richness. You close your eyes as you swallow and when you reopen them you are back home ready to sit down to dinner. This classic Viognier is a travel machine in a bottle, no need for flux capacitors here, just a corkscrew.
